They collect the argan fruits wash them, after removing the hard covering they break them so this oil is made for cosmetic uses. Contrary to the previous type, if the argan oil is made for culinary uses then the argan seeds are roasted by heating them lightly then cooled, and then put in a clay bowl to air dry. Then they start grounding it in a hand stone mixer until it becomes into the dough which will be pressed and squeezed later to extract the pure oil.
